Smelly fingers

Grateful for:

1. Being sore in every single cell of my body. I LOVE a good yoga workout. And nothing better than chasing the soreness away with another one this morning.

2. Taking a friend to a raw food restaurant for lunch to Yong Green Food in Fitzroy. Indulging in chia seed nachos, raw burger, rawsanga (the best out of all three) and raw choc cheesecake for desert.

3. The food indulgences did not stop there with a subsequent trip to Brunetti’s. What a serious cake paradise. I though of running away as soon as I walked through the door to avoid sugar induced coma but somehow failed to do so. A long black, lemon brûlée and several macaroons later I became a die hard fan and vouched to visit weekly.

4. My chiropractor was dressed as a cross between Prince and Santa Clause today and with his usual abundance of energy and jumping off the walls disposition I felt like in a cartoon for half an hour.

5. Purchasing a medieval torture device and voluntarily committing to it’s daily use on myself to bend the top absolutely straight part of my spine back into a 40′ arc it is meant to be. Stay tuned for photos of the chiro strap and in the mean time watch your posture everybody!

6. Watching the sunset with a friend at the same time as the famous solstice was happening on another half of the globe. It was a magical experience full of emotion and natural beauty.

7. Us two being wrapped in blanket sitting on a bench seemed to be a comical sight as joggers stopped to make jokes.

8. An intelligent conversation to end the amazing spectacle of sunset. “How do I know how much petrol to put in my scooter?” “Well, where is your hole?”…. After much laughter, the explanation (I swear I had one all along!) “If your hole is at the top like mine you just
put it in and fill until it touches and it will automatically shut off. But you also got to make sure you watch it.”

9. Meditating and downloading a whole heap of new revelations. I get paradigm shifts galore every single day lately and am looking forward to sharing this inner journey once the whole thing blows over.

10. Climbing a tree for the first time since years ago in childhood. Discovering a new method of leaning against the branches rather than just using them as a ladder to step and pull up on. Great challenging and rejuvenating experience, and oh yes, the lemons were so much tastier because of it.

11. The highlight of the day – performing my first AromaTouch massage! It was awesome for both me and the ever grateful recipient. I have discovered a whole new dimension to my trusty oils as their aromas were activated through massage and mingled with each other layer after layer. Bring on the new year of touching people! At the moment I am offering free trials.

12. Being called the least serious of the three housemates. My goodness what an achievement, going from miss reserved seriousness herself to a mad professor in less than a year. It is fascinating what I uncover in the process of digging up the authentic self. What have you uncovered about yourself lately?

13. I had to add another one after I already published and went to bed – 5 minutes of uncontrollable laughter in bed reminiscing of the day’s events! Even though it hurts to laugh now (see point 1) if feels awesome and is definitely getting added to my iPad dream board.
