Noh Theatre and Calligraphy

Grateful for:

  1. The beautiful picturesque garden we went to this morning.
  2. Experience of Noh theater with its strange mixture of human sounds and instruments and lulling sleepy effect
  3. Wonderfully tasty tofu lunch in a cafe before the Philosopher’s path
  4. Seeing artists at work at The Philosopher’s path and buying beautiful hand painted cards that inspired me to paint again
  5. Taking Calligraphy and Ink Art class in Kyoto International center and drawing flowers in ink and learning to spell my name in Kanji
  6. Having a foodie’s night out again at Sanjo and Nishijiki markets: Italian for dinner, then Papa Jon’s coffee and cake and the usual Starbucks matcha latter before going home
  7. Watching Chirstmas Carol on a big screen in English and crying through half a movie feeling so sad for Scrooge and all the Scrooges of the world
  8. The wonderful autumn sunny day
  9. Feeling extra grateful for the way this day has been full of interesting and beautiful things and places and experiences.
  10. Free internet and variety of 50 cent community classes in Kyoto International Center that enable us to learn Japanese, calligraphy, painting, Ikebana and many others.
  11. Having a warm bath to soak in and read at the end of the day.
