Arrived into Tokyo yesterday safely, were met by the property manager and escorted to our new home without any issues.
First day we spent at Shinjuku – closes train station to us and the biggest in Japan, possibly the biggest in the world commuter hub with millions of people reportedly passing every day. First impressions of Tokyo are good, it is a fast paced big city which somehow managed to retain it’s humanness and surreal quietness at the same time. The only gripe would be lack of English signs and writing, but as long as metro stations are labeled in English and the menus in most places have pictures we should be alright.
