Second 8th wonder of the world: Halong Bay

So we saw our second 8th wonder of the world today since the beginning of our trip – Halong Bay with thousands of rock formations sticking out of the ground. It was a pleasant 6 hour trip on the boat and we stopped a couple of times, once to see a cave inside one of the formations, another time at a floating village. There was a third stop we were meant to take but never did which was  a TiTop island with a mountain boasting panoramic views of Halong Bay. It was a disappointment indeed but only minor. For lunch we thought we would not get anything so we brought 5kg of food with us but it turned out we got a full 5 course sea food meal which was delicious and very filling.

I must admit just like with Angkor Wat, seeing the 8th wonder of the world in person was not as awe inspiring and breathtaking as I was expecting. I should just stop expecting I guess and enjoy every sight for what it is.
