Grateful for
- Visiting Kyoto Exhibition Center at Maiko Messe and seeing Maiko dances along with mind blowing array of Kyoto arts and crafts display from 6th century to present day. It really makes Kyoto an artisan central for me, the sheer variety and intricacy of each craft.
- Watching New Moon – great movie, even thought a total chick flick, but hey I am a chick so really loved it, 7/10
- Having really nice Indian for dinner right next to the markets. Seems each Indian meal we have in Japan is better than the previous one and is definitely way better than anything we had in India, go figure.
- Visiting calligraphy stores and looking at all the various implements.
- Sorting, tagging and uploading all my pictures.
- Spending 3 hours in Starbucks totally engrossed in painting a pear.
- Reading through “Values” book and picking up some ideas and drawing techniques.
- Finding drawing very meditative.
- Enjoying a weekend of rest and almost no work.
- Riding around Kyoto in crisp sunny days is always a pleasure in itself regardless of time of day or destination.
- Celebrating a week of blogging without missing a single day. Here’s to another one.
