Renting a bike, looking for petrol, then bank, then Myanmar Embassy pretty much took us on a tour around this capital. Plus a stop over at the golden Stupa which is a golden covered rounded pyramid, at the end of the day. I am growing tired of taking pictures, not sure whether it’s that you can see only so many temples in a short period of time before they all seem the same to me. But I swapped to a macro lens and kept myself entertained doing close up shots of small flowers and small bits and pieces here and there. I also had taro ice cream which was delicious, why or why doesn’t Vanuatu make something like this with the abundance of their natural roots I have no idea.
Applying for Myanmar visa was humorous, having to tell the representatives that yes, Vanuatu is in fact a country not a city and then being asked to explain how come with have AU and US passports but we live in Vanuatu was part of the interview process.
